Fotios Pasiouras (BSc, MBA, PhD) is Assistant Professor of Quantitative Techniques in Business Administration at the Department of Production Engineering and Management of Technical University of Crete. Between July 2006 and August 2009, he was Lecturer B (equivalent to Assistant Professor) at the University of Bath School of Management (UK) where he taught both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He is a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Governance & Regulation at the University of Bath School of Management and an Honorary Research Fellow of the Faculty of Business, Environment & Society at Coventry University (UK). Between June and December 2008 he was a Foreign Research Fellow at the Centre for Central Banking Education & Studies of the Central Bank of Indonesia. His research deals with the application of various quantitative techniques in business administration, with a specialization in banking and financial management. He currently focuses on the regulations, risk-taking, efficiency and productivity of banking and insurance firms. His research has received awards from the University of Bath School of Management (2008), Coventry University (2005), and Emerald Publishing (2008 & 2009). He is the Founding Editor and one of the Editors-in-Chief of the International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance. He has published over 40 papers in international journals such as: Journal of Banking & Finance, Review of Quantitative Finance & Accounting, International Review of Financial Analysis, European Journal of Operational Research, Omega, etc.
